Our Team

Our senior partner Leoni Joubert, has a Master’s Degree in Optometry with a special interest in Paediatric Vision. She has lectured at RAU (now UJ) for 24 years in Paediatric Optometry, Ocular Pathology, General and Ocular Pharmacology as well as Diagnostic Procedures.

Leoni has completed post-grad training in the UK and USA in many fields including the Advanced Study in Paediatric and Binocular Vision and ADHD. She has also done a post-grad qualification in Dyslexia with UJ and is able to conduct Dyslexia Assessments in both English and Afrikaans.

In addition she runs the Paediatric Training Academy which offers post-grad courses in paediatric and binocular vision and visually related learning problems. She has presented at many conferences both locally and internationally and writes articles for several publications.

Zeenat Tilly our junior partner has been with us since 2006 when she qualified from UJ.

Her dedication, work-ethic and passion for helping people with vision problems are exemplary. She has a special interest in contact lens fitting, including hard lenses.

Gladys Kwankwa is our practice admin manager and is in charge of accounts and medical aid queries.

Along with being an important and long-standing part of our dedicated team Gladys also serves as a receptionist and front-liner and is happy to help with any appointments and queries you may have.

Kholeka Gwatyu is our other friendly and helpful front-liner, telephonist and receptionist.

Kholeka also takes care of general office admin, helps make appointments, checks medical aid benefits and keeps in touch with you, our valuable clients.
